Shanghai New Bund Center

The New Bund Center is a landmark building project in Shanghai and comprises a multifunctional high-end large-scale international business district. Among other design needs, the project has stringent requirements on indoor noise, to ensure an extremely comfortable indoor environment for occupants.

HUBER & RANNER provided a total of 115 fresh air units for the project, with a total air volume of 3.3 million m3/h. Each floor of the high-rise building is equipped with two AHU’s for fresh air supply. 10 AHU’s in the project incorporate rotary heat recovery to reduce the energy demand of the HVAC system.
In order to meet customer requirements for low-noise design, HUBER & RANNER designed the unit with various noise-elimination considerations, including manufacturing prototype units which were sent for third-party testing for noise level testing, ensuring the in-room noise levels of the building design could be achieved.
